July 9th Day 3 Ideation-1

Ideating in groups:

Dividing the ideas into groups:

Assistive Technology Group

The meeting discussed various innovative assistive and technological ideas. The assistive tech group favored a folding machine, AI organizing chairs, and a self-cleaning glass device. The board games group proposed an augmented board game table and an automatic scoreboard. The eco group highlighted a car charging road and energy recovery systems. The vehicles group focused on self-driving bikes and a Swiss Army watch. The wearables group discussed health monitors and a Tony Stark watch. The arts and music group suggested a sound-reactive jellyfish tank and a holographic solar system. The final idea was a magnet-guided game board.

Action Items

  • Explore the feasibility of the assistive glasses cleaning device.
  • Investigate the technology behind the self-balancing bicycle taxi.
  • Develop a prototype for the UV jellyfish display and test its response to different sound inputs.
  • Research the potential for an AI-powered sewing pattern generator and assess its viability.
  • Evaluate the concept of a magnet-guided game board piece movement system and determine if it can be integrated with existing board game designs.

Creative Ideas Group

In a workshop focused on generating creative ideas, participants were assigned to six categories: board games and toys, wearables, assistant tech, vehicles, art and music, and ecology. Mentors, such as Gracie for board games and Tony for art and music, facilitated discussions within their groups. The goal was to share and discuss ideas, with participants marking their favorites. The session emphasized the importance of vocalizing ideas and collaborating with others. The workshop concluded with each group presenting their best ideas, showcasing a diverse range of creative and practical concepts.

Action Items

  • Identify the best ideas from each group and share them with the larger group.
  • Put a mark next to the favorite ideas within each group.
  • Move to a different group after 20 seconds to continue the discussion.
Group:

The meeting involved brainstorming and categorizing various inventive ideas. Key discussions included a "Grandma's recipe" fridge, an "emergency dance" assistant, a "flip ball" that changes bounce properties, and a "meeting AI chair" with translators and a robotic butler. The group also explored an AI 3D printer that can capture and print objects, and a "tissue umbrella" for sneezing. They categorized ideas into board games, toys, wearables, and assistive technology, with new categories like vehicles and art emerging. Specific items discussed were a multi-game table, edible play dough, and a color-changing bike.

Action Items

  • Explore the idea of an AI 3D printer that can create sculptures based on user requests.
  • Investigate the feasibility of a basketball/soccer ball hybrid with adjustable bounce properties.
  • Design a meeting chair with translation capabilities and a robotic coffee server.
  • Categorize the remaining ideas into the groups discussed, such as vehicles, art/music, and ecology.

In a creative brainstorming session, participants discussed various innovative ideas for projects and devices. One idea was a self-playing chess game, while another was a self-rearranging conference chair system. The conversation expanded to include a self-assembling roller coaster for office buildings and a walker that could transform into a rocket. They also considered a health monitoring system using jellyfish-inspired LEDs that respond to air quality changes. The group was encouraged to form small teams to develop and refine these ideas, with mentors assisting in the process. The session concluded with a call for more ideas and a suggestion to write them down.

Action Items

  • Brainstorm and develop two related project ideas in small groups.
  • Present the new project ideas to the larger group.
